James Irwin, Owner

James Irwin, Owner, has been in the business since childhood, when his parents, Lou and Edith, owned the store. He has a reputation for being characteristically honest, forthright, and fair. He enjoys watching all Cleveland sports teams, even when they don't do well, and he cares deeply about his family and his business. He plays golf and tennis avidly.

Jim's wife, Hedy, helps with the store in between her job as an attorney and court magistrate. Hedy enjoys the challenge of researching and marketing new and different merchandise. She expanded Shaker Coin into the web with its new Ebay store and auctions. Hedy also enjoys art, pinball, and Texas Hold 'Em.

Jim and Hedy have a daughter named Sarah, who also helps out at the store. Sarah has had a presence at Shaker Coin since her bassinet sat atop the safe. She is now a freshman at Tulane University at New Orleans, where she is a business major with a minor in environmental studies.

Jim and Hedy are aided in their operation by family from around the state. Their nephews, Logan and Matt, help out as webmasters, computer technicians, and Ebay consultants.

Always helping are Sarah's friends.
